Focus on areas of the process that are inefficient, could be automated and that are not helping the company meet its business goals. 2. FUTURE STATE OF YOUR HR TECH Now that you have an idea of your current state. Look at documenting the desired future state of your HR technology. Focus on areas of the process that would change. Discuss what those changes would be and the expected comprehensive benefit that would be realized. You know where you want to be with your HR technology, now is your chance to plan how you're going to get there. Describe the steps that would be undertaken to move the process from its current state to the proposed future state. Your roadmap should include things like: • How a phased approach can be taken; • Resource requirements; • Timing, and so on. 3. BUILD THE ROADMAP Pro Tip: Including diagrams can be helpful to visualize the current process and indicate where the challenges lie. You can also visualize some new processes that you would like to see in the future state of your solution. STEPS TO CHANGE MANAGEMENT SUCCESS 4. YOUR 'WHY CHANGE?' STATEMENT It's important to have a "why change" statement that can be shared with your whole team. Being able to articulate the positive impact this change will have and being able to reinforce this over and over again in communications will prove that the change is worthwhile.
