2 Changing Your Privacy Settings 1. Log in to LinkedIn, and you will arrive at your home page. Move your cursor over the small thumbnail image on the top right of your homepage, and click Manage under Privacy & Settings. 2. There are four tabs that house all privacy settings – Profile; Communications; Groups, Companies & Applications; and Account. Change your settings as you see fit. Recommendations to protect your password security and privacy: Change your password every few months and select strong passwords, with 10 or more characters, that can't easily be guessed. Sign out of your account after you use a publicly shared computer. Don't put your email address, home address or phone number in your profile's Summary. Only connect to people you know and trust, or those you have trustworthy common connections with. Common privacy settings to change: Profile o Turn on/off your activity broadcasts o Select what others see when you've viewed their profile Communications o Set the frequency of emails
