Flexible workforce policies are becoming
the rule, instead of the exception
• Over 80% of companies were forced to move to remote work as a result of
COVID-19 and 42% needed to create a new policy from scratch.
• 63% of employers indicated they will have some employees remain offsite,
but not 100% of the time. The majority of respondents said they would be
implementing a structured hybrid model moving forward in which they outline
how and when their employees can work from home and when they need to
be in the office.
Mixed feelings about preparedness for
a mass return to the workplace
• Across the board, there were varying results about how ready companies feel
about coming back to work, with over 65% tending towards the "Not Ready" end
of the spectrum.
• There is added complexity for organizations that operate across the country as
OH&S legislation and public health measures vary by province or territory.
Employee vaccination records are not
a priority for the majority of companies
• 40% of respondents indicated that they do not plan on asking their employees
if they have been vaccinated before they return to the workplace, with almost
the same amount saying they are not sure.
• For the companies that indicated they will ask employees whether or not they
have been vaccinated, they said they will store the information electronically*
via spreadsheet or employee file.
