Canadian Payroll Professionals rely on statistics every day to establish and measure the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that contribute to their organization's operations, people management, strategic direction, and success.

National Payroll Week Survey 2016

These Payroll KPIs can include

  • Total payroll compared to last period,
  • Percent of new employees over a given period,
  • Total payroll to gross revenue, and;
  • So much more.

It’s also important to remember that not only can statistics be a powerful tool for your company but they can also benefit the payroll profession as a whole.

Every year the Canadian Payroll Association promotes National Payroll Week (this year it is September 11–15). As part of that initiative they run two surveys:

Through these surveys, important payroll related insights are gathered and shared during National Payroll Week to promote the importance of Payroll to all Canadians through education and advocacy.

The deadline to complete these surveys is end of day Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

You may not be aware that you are not required to be a member of the Canadian Payroll Association to participate in the survey. They are interested in obtaining insights from all Canadian Payroll Professionals and employees across Canada, not just their members.

Payroll Professionals Survey
The purpose of this survey is to identify the efforts and challenges of Canadian Payroll Professionals. If you have not yet competed the survey, see the links below to have your voice heard and direct the CPA's Payroll advocacy efforts.

Employee Payroll Survey
The purpose of this survey is to help understand the many issues employees face so that Canadian Payroll Professionals can identify areas where they can better educate employees on their pay and how to make the most of it. See the links below to share your insights.

The results of this important survey are released during National Payroll Week to recognize the accomplishments of all Canadian Payroll Professionals, to provide programs to help employees understand their pay and how they get on a path to use it to build a secure future, and for advocacy efforts with Canada tax agencies.

Remember, the deadline to complete these surveys is end of day Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

Canadian Payroll Professionals work very hard to make sure that every pay is accurate, on time, and compliant. Pay it forward and support your local Payroll Professional by sharing these surveys today.
