Payroll accounting is the essential extension of the payroll cycle. Knowing the proper accounting method is an integral part of the payroll process. Payroll information is summarized into usable data for creating journal entries, feeding the general ledger, the financial statements, and analytic reports. An introduction into accruals and reconciliations will also be covered.
